Linking Adding Numbers to Make & Receive Calls
To start making and receiving calls, you'll need to link a phone number to your Google Voice account. Here's how:
1. Go to Google Voice and sign in.
2. Click on 'Settings'.
3. Under 'Account' then 'Linked numbers,' click 'New linked number'.
4. Enter the phone number you wish to link.
5. Choose your verification method. For mobile numbers, click 'Send code'. For landlines, click 'Verify by phone Call'.
6. Enter the code you receive and click 'Verify'.
You can link up to 6 numbers. Keep in mind that calls to your Google Voice number will also ring on your linked numbers.
Notifications Getting in Gmail
To receive notifications for texts, missed calls, and voicemail in Gmail, follow these steps:
1. Go to Google Voice and sign in.
2. Click on 'Settings'.
3. Turn on forwarding.
4. On the left, click: 'Messages' and turn on 'Forward messages to email'.
5. Click on 'Calls' and turn on 'Get email alerts for missed calls'.
6. Click on 'Voicemail' and turn on 'Get voicemail via email'.
Reverify ing a Phone Number
Occasionally, you may need to reverify a phone number. Here’s how:
1. Go to Google Voice and sign in.
2. Click on 'Settings'.
3. Next to the linked number, click 'Reverify'.
4. In the 'Reverify your forwarding number' window, click 'Send code'.
5. Enter the code and click 'Verify'.
Even if you don’t reverify, your other linked numbers will continue to work.

Removing a Linked Number
To remove a linked number:
1. Go to Google Voice and sign in.
2. Click on 'Settings'.
3. On the left, click 'Account'.
4. Next to your linked number, click 'Remove' and confirm.
Call Waiting Using
Google Voice supports call waiting, allowing you to manage multiple calls.
When a new call comes in, you can reject it, place the current call on hold and answer the new call, or make a new call while on another call. Your current call will be put on hold.
