Google Drive is one of the best cloud storage solutions available.

Method 1: Uploading to Google Drive via Web Browser (Files & Folders)

The most common method is through the Google Drive website.

To upload files to Google Drive, open your preferred web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and navigate to drive.google.com. Sign in with your Google account if you're not already logged in.

In the top-left corner, click the 'New' button. A menu will appear. Select 'File upload' to upload individual files or 'Folder upload' to upload entire folders.

Browse your computer to locate the file(s) or folder(s) you wish to upload. Select them and click 'Open'. Your files or folders will begin uploading to Google Drive. You'll see a progress bar indicating the upload status.

Method 2: Using Drag and Drop for Quick Uploads

Drag and drop is a fast and efficient way to upload files.

Open drive.google.com in your web browser.

Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac) and locate the files or folders you want to upload.

Click and hold the files or folders, then drag them directly onto the Google Drive webpage in your browser. Release the mouse button to start the upload. This method works with both files and folders.

Method 3: Uploading with the Backup & Sync App (Desktop)

The Google Backup & Sync app (for Windows and macOS) offers seamless integration.

If you have the Backup & Sync app installed, you can add Google Drive as a folder within your File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (macOS).

Navigate to your Google Drive folder in File Explorer or Finder (usually under 'Quick access' or in your user folder).

Copy and paste the files and/or folders you want to upload into your Google Drive folder. The app automatically syncs these items to your online Google Drive.

Google Drive is a powerful cloud storage solution. Learning how to upload files is the first step to harnessing its potential.
