Saving Your Card Where is Your Card Info Saved?

Microsoft Edge offers two primary options for saving your card information, giving you flexibility and control over your data:

1. Saving to your local device: When checking out on shopping sites, choose 'Save'. This allows you to reuse the same card for future purchases on the same device within the Microsoft Edge browser. This method is ideal for quick access to your card details.

2. Saving to your Microsoft account: You can also save your card to your Microsoft account. This feature requires you to have specific settings enabled in Microsoft Edge. This feature allows you to access your saved payment information on any device where you're logged into your Microsoft account.

Microsoft Account Saving to Your - Enhanced Security and Accessibility

Saving your card to your Microsoft account offers the advantage of accessibility across all your devices where you are logged in to your Microsoft account. This feature is conditional on enabling the 'Payment using Microsoft account' and 'Save and fill payment info' settings in Microsoft Edge's sync settings. (Images of settings)

During the saving process, banks validate your card information, including cardholder name, number, expiration date, and billing address. While CVV is used for authorization, Microsoft does not store it. A temporary $1 charge may occur for validation purposes, which is promptly refunded. You will be prompted to sign in with your Microsoft account if you haven't already done so. (Image of Sign in prompt)
