Welcome Sending Calls to Google Voice Voicemail

Are you tired of missing important calls? With Google Voice, you can easily forward your mobile calls to your Google Voice voicemail. This ensures you never miss a message, even when you're on another call, your phone is off, or you simply don't answer.

This guide provides clear, step-by-step instructions on how to set up conditional call forwarding (CCF) for your mobile number, allowing you to seamlessly direct unanswered or busy calls to your Google Voice voicemail. We'll cover setup for major providers like AT&T and Verizon, ensuring you stay connected.

Understanding What is Conditional Call Forwarding?

Conditional Call Forwarding (CCF) is a feature offered by most mobile carriers that allows you to redirect calls based on specific conditions. You can forward calls when your line is busy, when you don't answer, or when your phone is unreachable. By setting up CCF, you can send those calls directly to your Google Voice voicemail.

Each mobile carrier uses unique star (*) commands to activate and deactivate CCF. The specific commands depend on your carrier. This guide provides examples for AT&T and Verizon customers, and we encourage you to contact your carrier for the most accurate commands for your plan.

Step-by-Step Setting Up Conditional Call Forwarding

To send your mobile calls to Google Voice voicemail, you'll need to set up conditional call forwarding using the appropriate commands for your mobile carrier. Please note that these commands are entered directly into your phone's keypad, not within the Google Voice app.

Important: Make sure to replace 1234567890 in the examples below with your actual Google Voice number.

AT&T Wireless Customers:

1. To turn on CCF, enter each of the following commands on your phone's keypad, one at a time, and wait for confirmation (usually a tone or message). After entering each command, tap Send or Call, hang up, and enter the next command.

* Call forward if unanswered: *61*1234567890#

* Call forward if unreachable: *62*1234567890#

* Call forward if busy: *67*1234567890#

2. To turn off CCF, enter each of the following commands on your phone's keypad, one at a time, and wait for confirmation:

* Call forward if unanswered: ##61#

* Call forward if unreachable: ##62#

* Call forward if busy: ##67#

Verizon Wireless Customers:

1. To turn on CCF, enter *711234567890 on your phone's keypad, wait for the confirmation tone, and then hang up.

2. To turn off CCF, enter *73 on your phone's keypad, wait for the confirmation tone, and then hang up.

With Google Voice, you’re always connected. Never miss an important message again!

Important Additional Considerations and Troubleshooting

If you have more than one phone number linked to your Google Voice account, you must set up conditional call forwarding on each linked number.

Some mobile service providers are subsidiaries or resellers of major carriers and may not support conditional call forwarding. Contact your service provider to confirm compatibility.

If you stop using Google Voice, remember to turn off conditional call forwarding using the commands provided above for your carrier. This will ensure calls go to your regular voicemail.

For any assistance or clarification on your carrier's CCF commands, contact your mobile provider.

Improve Accuracy Help Improve Voicemail Transcription

Google uses automated computer programs to transcribe your voicemail messages. You can contribute to the accuracy of these programs by donating your voicemails. Your account information is not associated with your voicemails, and no one listens to them; they are analyzed solely by machines.

You can opt out of this feature at any time.
