Getting Started Creating a Quiz in Google Forms
Ready to create an interactive quiz? Google Forms makes it easy! The quickest way to begin is by visiting g.co/createaquiz. Open a form in Google Forms and click 'Settings' at the top.
Enable the 'Make this a quiz' option. You can optionally collect email addresses under the 'Responses' section to gather participant details for grading and communication.
Adding Questions Crafting Your Quiz Questions
To add questions to your quiz, click the 'Add question' button. Choose from various question types to suit your needs. Enter your question and provide possible answers for applicable question types.
Click 'Answer key' to specify the correct answer(s), assign points, and offer feedback. Don't forget to enable the 'Required' setting to make sure participants don't skip questions.
Customization Personalizing Your Quiz
Make your quiz visually appealing by customizing the theme, fonts, and sections. This is where you can tailor the quiz to match your brand or style. To customize the form design, see Customize your form at the Google Docs Editors Help Center.
Decide what quiz-takers can see during and after the quiz. Configure the settings under 'Respondent settings' within the quiz's 'Settings'.
Previewing and Sending Sharing Your Quiz
Preview your quiz at any time by clicking 'Preview' in the top right corner. Once ready, send your quiz via email or generate a shareable link. When ready, click send to get the quiz into the hands of your participants.
Email options allow you to add the recipients' email addresses and include the quiz directly in the email. For sharing via link, use the 'Link' option and optionally shorten the URL.

Grading and Analyzing Reviewing Quiz Responses
Access quiz responses by clicking 'Responses' at the top. You can view a summary analysis, grade by question or individual, and export responses to a spreadsheet.
For manual grading, grade by question to reduce bias. If you collect email addresses, you can give feedback and points on individual responses. Remember to save your changes after grading each response.
Releasing Results Sharing Quiz Grades
Choose when to release quiz grades: immediately or after manual review. If you choose to wait, you can send grades via email from the 'Individual' section of the 'Responses' tab.
Select 'Release score' and check the boxes next to the recipients' email addresses. Click 'Send emails and release' to share the grades.
