If you suspect fraud or encounter suspicious activity, it's crucial to report it promptly. Bank of America provides multiple channels for you to report potential fraud and protect your accounts. Your vigilance helps us maintain a secure banking environment for everyone.

Consumer Credit Card: 1.800.421.2110.

Wire Transfers: 1.877.337.8357 (within the U.S.) or 1.302.781.6374 (outside the U.S.) - Report errors within 180 days.

Forward any suspicious email or text message claiming to be from Bank of America to abuse@bankofamerica.com.

If you responded to a suspicious call, text, or email, call the number on the back of your card or bank statement immediately.

Forward suspicious text messages to 7726 (“SPAM”) to report them to your cell phone provider. Follow their instructions to block future communications.

Identity Theft What to Do if You Become a Victim of

If you believe your identity has been stolen, take the following steps immediately:

1. Contact Financial Institutions and Creditors: Inform the fraud department of each institution about the theft.

2. Close or Freeze Accounts: Request the closure or freezing of any compromised or fraudulently opened accounts.

3. Change Credentials: Secure your online login credentials, passwords, and PINs immediately.

4. Credit Report Review and Fraud Alert: Check your credit reports from annualcreditreport.com and consider placing a fraud alert with Experian (888-397-3742), TransUnion (800-680-7289), or Equifax (888-766-0008).

5. Contact Relevant Authorities: Report the incident to ChexSystems (888-478-6536) if deposit accounts are impacted, the Federal Trade Commission (877-438-4338), and your local law enforcement. Obtain a copy of the report for creditors.
