Accessing View & Form Responses
Google Forms provides multiple ways to view and manage your form responses, from a quick summary to in-depth individual views. Open your form in Google Forms, and at the top, click 'Responses'.
In the 'Summary' tab, you'll find an overview of all responses. This tab appears when one or more responses are submitted. You can also view responses by question to understand specific feedback.
For a detailed look, click 'Individual' to review answers by person or submission (if multiple submissions are allowed). Use the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons to navigate responses.
Exporting Your Form Response Data
Easily find all responses in a spreadsheet format by clicking the 'View in Sheets' icon at the top right of the 'Responses' section. This will link your form to a Google Sheet, where you can access and analyze your data.
To download responses as a CSV file, click 'Responses' at the top, then 'More' (the three vertical dots), and select 'Download responses (.csv)'. This is useful for offline analysis or importing data into other tools.
Managing Response Notifications & Communication
Stay informed about new responses by enabling email notifications. Click 'Responses', then 'More', and select 'Get email notifications for new responses'.
You can also configure settings to collect and manage respondent communications. To stop accepting responses, navigate to the Published form and turn off 'Accepting responses'. Customize the message shown to respondents to keep them informed.
Consider collecting email addresses in your forms. You can do this manually by selecting 'Responder input' in settings, or automatically through verified collection. Verified email is collected with the Google Account the respondent uses for the form.
“Google Forms makes it simple to gather, understand, and act upon the information you collect.
