Key Features & System Requirements Key Features and Compatibility
The spelling checkers are based on extensive research by CTexT®, ensuring accurate spelling and hyphenation across a wide range of vocabularies in each language. This commitment to accuracy is a core feature.
To use these tools, you'll need a fully operational PC with Microsoft ® Office 365, Microsoft® Office 2021, Microsoft ® Office 2019 or Microsoft ® Office 2016 and Windows®11, Windows®10 or Windows®8.1. System requirements ensure optimal performance.
What the Checkers Can't Do Limitations & Enhancements
It's important to note that the spelling checkers are not substitutes for text or grammar editors. They may not recognize grammatical errors (e.g., incorrect word usage) or meaning errors (e.g., using a correctly spelled word in the wrong context).
Due to data limitations, some specialized terminologies may not be recognized. However, users can personalize and extend their dictionaries to increase the tool's effectiveness.
“Accurate spelling and hyphenation across a wide range of South African languages is our priority.
